My abstract biomorphic sculptures and drawings reference our interconnectedness in the face of division. The scale of my work shifts between the immersive and the intimate, reflecting both macro and micro environments where connection persists despite separation.

I am visually inspired by resilient natural systems—the tenacious structures of trees, the intricate connectivity of mycelium networks, and adaptive biological organisms that thrive despite harsh conditions. These tangible forms of survival parallel the less visible complexities of human experience: our interpersonal relationships and the sociopolitical tensions that shape our lives within established systems and structures.

My process involves building curvilinear sculptures and then drawing intertwined graphite lines on their surfaces, creating energy that seems to emanate from within and radiate outward. These forms feel simultaneously alien and organic. I translate this same improvisational mark-making technique to my works on paper, creating a visual dialogue between dimensional and flat surfaces that share the same energetic language.

The improvisational nature of my process requires responsive engagement with each emerging form, demonstrating how individual marks connect to become a cohesive whole. As I respond to what's evolving before me, the work reveals a continuum of connection that grows and leads to intricate entanglement. This visual network suggests the elaborate systems that define our world and invites contemplation of our place within it.
